The Battlefield series of shooters has always stood out from the lot for its ability to let players control a variety of vehicles, tanks and whatnot and while the next installment in the franchise, Battlefield 1 will take things back to the world war I era, it has not stopped DICE and Electronic Arts to stop innovating in the area of vehicular combat.
According to recent reports, a mission which is available to those with early access to the game allows players to take control of a carrier pigeon.
While it may sound stupid and uninspiring, the moment when you have to control the pigeon in a single player mission is beautiful and intense. What is more is that you get to see a bird’s eye view of the combat that is ensuing down below and while the sequence is brief and shot, it is incredibly powerful and adds all the more value to the game.
